Dennis Rempel's Plan for West Virginia House of Delegates District 12
Dennis Rempel is running for the West Virginia House of Delegates in District 12 to bring opportunity and integrity back to state government. A West Virginia native, a fourteen-year military veteran, and a lifelong public servant, Dennis believes the Constitution should guide every policy and that working families, not special interests, should come first. His campaign is built on a simple promise: keep it simple, honor the Constitution, stand up for working people, and put District 12 ahead of party politics.
Dennis will fight for you in the legislature. He will work to make healthcare affordable and accessible for every West Virginian, defend the separation of church and state in our public schools, and protect the earned benefits our veterans were promised. He will vote to reestablish prevailing wage on state-funded projects so that taxpayer money stays in West Virginia and union workers are paid fairly. He will demand real oversight and public input on the data centers moving into our communities, and he will end the forced choice between rising utility costs and the medicine families need to stay healthy.
Dennis is endorsed by unions, veterans organizations, and grassroots groups across West Virginia because he has spent his career in service, not self-promotion. He is not a career politician. He is a neighbor who decided that the people of District 12 deserve a representative who listens, shows up, and tells the truth. The Six Priorities
Affordable, Accessible Healthcare
Dennis believes healthcare is a right, not a privilege. He will push to lower premiums and prescription costs, protect coverage for pre-existing conditions, and expand rural clinics so no family in District 12 has to drive an hour for basic care. When working people can actually afford to see a doctor, the whole community gets stronger.
Public Schools That Serve Every Family
Strong public schools are the foundation of opportunity. Dennis will defend the separation of church and state in our classrooms, fight for fair teacher pay, and make sure every child, regardless of background or zip code, gets a quality, inclusive education that prepares them for the jobs of tomorrow.
Honoring Our Veterans
After fourteen years of military service, Dennis knows the commitment does not end when the uniform comes off. He will fight for earned veterans benefits, mental health support, and job training, and hold the state accountable for delivering them without red tape or delay.
Standing With Union Labor
Dennis will vote to reestablish prevailing wage on state-funded projects so that taxpayer money stays in West Virginia and workers are paid fairly. He supports the right to organize and will stand up to any attempt to weaken unions or undercut working families.
Real Oversight of Data Centers
Data centers are moving into our communities with minimal oversight and almost no public input. Dennis will require community review, environmental impact studies, and local hiring agreements so these projects benefit the people who live here, not just out-of-state corporations.
Utilities and Medicine, Not a Forced Choice
No West Virginian should have to choose between filling a prescription and keeping the lights on. Dennis will work to cap runaway utility rate hikes, demand transparency from utility monopolies, and protect seniors and working families from energy poverty.
